Fishing charter pricing

  • Half day flats fishing (4 1/2 hours) $350 light tackle shallow water  fishing.
  • Full day flats fishing (8+ hours) $500- light tackle shallow water  fishing.
  • Offshore reef and wreck fishing-$900 on our 31 foot Yellowfin offshore boat (this rate includes up to 4 people).
  • Tarpon fishing May-July: $900. Full days only. (Availability is very limited).
  • Special season deep water RED SNAPPER/grouper charter-July only: $1200 (includes 4 people). This is a TEN HOUR long range fishing trip targeting red snapper during the limited open season. These prime bottom fishing areas- 30 to 60 miles offshore- also hold great numbers of gag and red grouper, mangrove snapper, and amberjack so you will be catching lots of those between securing your limit of red snapper. The 2010 red snapper season is only 52 days long this year so book early if you can. This is one of my personal favorite trips. In 2009 we caught our limit of red snapper on every one of these offshore trips.

Unless otherwise noted, all prices are for two passengers. Additional passengers incur a $50 per person charge per trip. Total passenger limit is 4.

Charter Fees Include:
  • All Bait
  • Top notch tackle-including G loomis graphite rods, custom built Dogfish offshore rods, Shimano reels, and the best equipment available.
  • All Required Fishing Licenses
  • Coolers with ice for your use
  • Fish cleaning and bagging
  • All the poor quality jokes you can take
  • Professional photography-no charge

Location: Tarpon Springs Florida

We usually pick up our fishing charters at Anclote Village Marina. This is a full service marina on the Anclote River in Tarpon Springs. It features great facilities, fish cleaning station, and a fun waterfront tiki bar-Miss Vickies-where we often hang around after our trips to have a cold one and swap fishing stories while  watching the sunset over the water.

For a directions to the marina  click the following link: http://www.anclotevillagemarina.com/location.htm   or enter the street address into a MapQuest or GoogleMap.

Marina street address: 1029 Baillies Bluff Rd, Holiday Fl 34691

What to Bring

  • Polarized Sunglasses (these are very important when sight-fishing)
  • Non-aerosol sunscreen
  • Food
  • Drinks (Yes, Beer is OK)
  • Camera
  • Cigars (As long as there's one for the Capt'n)
  • Cigarette smoking is allowed.

Captains Suggestions

  • Bring a cooler along to keep in the car for transporting fish home after the trip. We prefer that you do not bring large coolers on the boat. There is 160 quarts of iced cooler space provided and additional coolers simply take up deck space. Most folks bring food and drinks in a bag or transfer from their cooler to ours at the dock in the morning.
  • You are welcome to keep your limit of any fish allowed within state laws. No fish will be kept under the capt or mates limit for any species. We encourage the release of all fish that you do not plan on eating.
  • We have all the tackle you will need but if you have a favorite rod, or one that is just plain lucky, by all means bring it along. We will be happy to rig it up for the type of fishing we will be doing on any given day.
  • If you have a special request please feel free to ask about it. We love to mix it up. We are happy to target world records (We have 2 so far- womens gag grouper and mens 12 lb test snook), fly fish or use ultra-light equipment for anything, wade fish, use artificial baits, or focus exclusively on your favorite species. If you have young children with short attention spans and just want to keep them busy catching something we can do that. Some people even opt to stop at a waterside restaurant for lunch during the trip. It is your excursion and we are here to make the experience exactly the way you want it to be so please dont be afraid to ask.

Please Do Not Bring GPS'

GPS DEVICE WARNING!

Under no circumstances do we allow or tolerate GPS's of any kind on the boat!!! Please make sure everyone in your party understands this-we have seen it all before.

We will throw any GPS device we find onboard over the side immediately or perhaps the fishing may suddenly get very slow.... PLEASE make sure you and all of your passengers understand this strict policy prior to departure!

Other things we prefer do not come onboard

  • Black soled shoes or harsd soled boots.
  • Bananas (Bad luck)
  • Large coolers
  • Aerosol sunscreen! This stuff gets a lot on the boat and fishing gear and just a little on you. Since sunscreen is like fish repellent when it gets on your leader or bait, we'd prefer you to use the old fashioned rub-on kind or spray yourself down before getting onboard.
  • Drugs

New: SHARE AN OFFSHORE FISHING CHARTER!

Since we often get requests from our local guys interested in splitting fishing charters with others, we are now coordinating split parties for offshore fishing trips in Florida. If you would like to be included on the list for the offshore fishing charters please email us and let us know how many people you have and when you are available for the fishing.  We'll send out email notifcation when there are parties looking for additional anglers. .
